Allocations Work StationThe Cab5000 Allocations Module enables the dispatcher to see the 'full picture' at all times. If you are the dispatcher, your screen constantly shows you:

  • how many jobs are pending in each plot,
  • how many cars are available in each plot.

Jobs can be dispatched either manually or automatically. In manual mode, the dispatcher sends a specific car to a job. In automatic mode, the system uses its knowledge of where all the jobs are cars are, to automatically match cars to jobs, and send the job details to the driver. The details appear on a screen (data-unit) in the car.

Where there is no car available in the same plot as a job, the job can be "free-called" and nearby cars invited to bid, or it can be assigned to a particular driver chosen by the dispatcher. The system helps you with both these methods.
