The Cab5000 Booking Module helps you to take bookings quickly and efficiently,
for today, tomorrow or any date in the future.
Start by selecting your pick-up ... all your local streets and well-known locations
(pubs, clubs, supermarkets, hospitals, airports, etc) are stored in your
system, so you can locate any pick-up quickly.
You are then asked for the job details:
HOUSE NUMBER: if there is one
DATE: usually "today"
TIME: often "as soon as possible"
NAME: customer name
DESTINATION: customer destination
ACCOUNTS: for account customers
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: multiple job, black-cab job, etc.
NOTES: carry a dog, go to staff entrance, etc.

You do not have to be able to type - we find telephonists reach a reasonable
typing speed simply through practice - after a few weeks you'll be surprisingly
fast - certainly faster than writing on paper! And the dispatcher doesn't have
to try to read your handwriting either!
And any mistakes are easily corrected - there is a "go back & try
again" key.
